Safety and Health Basic Policy
<Basic stance>
The Epson Imaging Devices Group considers the creation of a safe and healthy environment where all employees in Japan and overseas can work with a sense of security, and the maintenance and promotion of the health of those employees, to be part of its very corporate foundation. As such, the Group establishes a Safety and Health Basic Policy and seeks to build a new culture of safety that is constantly improving.
The result of this effort will be a dynamic enterprise that continues to grow in the 21st century.

The Epson Imaging Devices Group complies with industrial safety and health laws and other relevant regulations and ensures employee safety and health by following internal regulations and standards. |

The Group undertakes safety and health initiatives with the full participation of its members and runs its industrial safety and health management system appropriately while maintaining good communication with its employees. |

The Group provides planned, systematic safety and health training for its employees to raise their awareness of these issues. |

Believing that good health is each person's responsibility and should be maintained and enhanced, the Group promotes health in mind and body by supporting voluntary health management by employees so that they will be motivated and able to demonstrate their potential fully. |

The Group works to prevent accidents and disasters by identifying and evaluating potential risk factors and it seeks to remain accident-free. In the event of accidents or disasters, the Group performs thoroughgoing analysis to find the root cause and seeks to prevent recurrences of similar accidents. |

The Group regularly reviews and updates its preventative measures for disasters, earthquake disasters and storm and flood damage, and measures to rescue any victims, to prevent an expansion of damage and to recover from any damage in case those disasters occur. The Group runs drills in connection with these measures and works constantly to verify their effectiveness and further improve them. |
