LCD development at Seiko Epson and

Epson Imaging Devices Corporation
March 2004	Announcement of the basic agreement reached on the establishment of Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices Corporation It was announced that Seiko Epson and Sanyo Electric was under agreement to merge their quartz device operations at a joint a joint press conference.
April 2004	Completion of business transfer agreement Seiko Epson agreed to spin off its operations in display devices and concluded business transfer agreement with Sanyo Electric Group companies.
June 2004	Operation-spin off approved by Seiko Epson's shareholders at annual general meeting
September 2004	Public release of general outline of new company
October 2004	Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices Corporation commences operations On the opening of the Tokyo Head Office opened in the World Trade Center Building in Hamamatsu-cho, Tokyo, a party was held to mark the event.
November 2004	Opening of Osaka Sales Office (in Epson Osaka Building)
February 2005	Establishment of Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices (Philippines) Inc., as manufacturing subsidiary in the Philippines
March 2005	Establishment of Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices (H.K.), as manufacturing subsidiary in Hong Kong / Shenzhen
April 2005	Tokyo and Matsumoto Head Offices acquire ISO 14000 certification.
May 2005	Shuji Aruga takes office as company president.
August 2005	Achievement of "zero emissions level 1" (100% recycling) at all domestic production bases
September 2005	Publication of first "Environmental Report" outlining the company's achievements in environmental and CSR activities
October 2005	Development of high-definition LCD through incorporation of Photo Fine Chromarich, a technology offering over 100% coverage of the NTSC color gamut
February 2006	Sanyo Epson Matsumoto Head Office receives Director General’s Award of Agency for Natural Resources and Energy.
December 2006	Sanyo Epson became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Epson and changed its name to Epson Imaging Devices Corporation
March 2007	The Relocation of Its Tokyo Sales Office
August 2007	First LCD Manufacturer to Eliminate 2-Aminoethanol from Its Japanese Operations
October 2007	Developed All-in-One LCD with Integrated Touch Panel and Cover
