Announcement of the basic agreement reached on the establishment of Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices Corporation
It was announced that Seiko Epson and Sanyo Electric was under agreement to merge their quartz device operations at a joint a joint press conference.

April 2004 Completion of business transfer agreement
Seiko Epson agreed to spin off its operations in display devices and concluded business transfer agreement with Sanyo Electric Group companies.
