Ensuring the transfer of know-how and technologies |
To meet the needs of today's ubiquitous information society in which people can use and enjoy information, graphics, and images anytime and anywhere, Epson Imaging Devices Corporation develops and provides small- and medium-sized liquid crystal displays optimized to suit each of its customers and their products.
On April 1, 2010, Epson transferred to the Sony group certain assets of the small- and medium-sized TFT LCD business of Epson Imaging, and the accompanying expertise and technologies will also be a part of this transfer.
Going forward, we will work closely with the Sony Group, and concentrate on manufacturing LCDs on the T1-Line in Tottori, Japan, and LCD modules and touch panels at our manufacturing company, Suzhou Epson, in Suzhou, China.
